This Japanese isn't as good as they used to be. 4 out of 6 fishes are not available on their special menu. The center of grill cheese mochi was cold.
Nice place, good food, friendly service, and reasonable price. The seafood don (with unichi, salmon roes, and salmon) is impressive. Cold udon is chewy and tasty, good match with the snowy crab leg. Lunch hours during weekend is a preferred time.
Nice food but service manner can be improved
Beautifully made lunch sets with a pulp of ice cream as dessert. The hamburg-steak was a little bit salty while others were good.
Old school traditional Japanese restaurant with a kansai flare. Top notch sushi, the sushi rice is excellent and staffs are helpful and friendly
I love coming here for their cooked dishes - beef udon, katsudon, eel rice etc.
Ths restaurant has been running at the same location for over 30 years, regarded as one of the best in town. Food stuffs daily fresh from Japan with in-house Japanese chefs. In TST tourist area and is near to the MTR station. Serving sushi, sashimi, tempura, beef, seafood and good varieties classic Japanese cuisine, and a separate area serving teppanyaki. Great service with friendly and polite staff.
Ramen and tuna were awesome!
This is one of the oldest Japanese restaurants in Hong Kong. Food used to be considered authentic 30 years ago, when competition was few. Unfortunately the cooking hasn't improved since then & it's certainly not up to the best today. To be fair the standard now is still acceptable, just not outstanding. Worth a visit if you are in the neighbourhood but other places are full.
Lovely good quality lunches. Price is avg-high for lunch time.
Farewell party
Very fresh sushi and sashimi. Good sake. Very enjoy
Fresh and traditional Japanese food
Tasty food at reasonable price. Superb lunch.
food is ok but overpriced
Very good provides red carpet service
Good food, beat wifi in the area
A very good Japanese restaurant with a long history. One of the better Japanese restaurant in town. The regular menu has vast amount of choice, although not all dishes are good, you can't go wrong with the "chef's recommendation list". Food, including Sashimis, are quite fresh. Most dishes are generally quite tastyTeppanyaki is quite well done. Food quality is very high. Itusually requires advance booking since seating is quite limited.
always provide good service
We went there for lunch, the waitress didn't ask whether we finish before collect our dishes (foods). The udon not very al dente and tempura put in the soup, so it was not crispy. The sashimi is a small slice, but the set cost around $150, i think it is quite expensive for that kind of quality and service. I
Nice noodle soups but the other dishes are not that good at all and they are definetly overpriced. Really bad service
good value for money Japanese food
Great place for Japanese food
Beware of the lady who takes reservations over the phone. Tries to speak Japanese (but doesn’t) so when you make reservations for counter, gets it wrong, then tells you you don’t have a reservation when you show up realizing she got it wrong. Amateur operation!
Authentic Japanese cuisine with great service, price is reasonable
Good quality
Good vibe and great service
Nice place for lunch
Best Japanese restaurant in Hong kong
Osaka got a history here in Tsim Sha Tsui. I always see Japanese patron, representing its authenticity. Though I quite like the taste when I first visited here like almost twenty years ago than nowadays, I will be their customer as usual since it separates itself from the busy street eateries by its first floor location and their true attitude to Japanese cuisine.
Liked the environment and food. Sushi was so so but beef udon was super good.
Tepanyaki is best in HK....
Good value
One of my favorite Japanese restaurant. Quiet, comfortable and relaxed dining environment. Consistent quality and service.
Good👍🏻👍🏻

I like the Sukiyaki!
Fresh and yummy.......always. Waitress Lan Ying is just the best!! She knows the ingredient and menu thoroughly.
Good/quality food at reasonable price ( lunch) in TST district
They serve a wide varieties of lunch in weekdays and it come fast! The quality of food is good and available in an affordable price range. Im not sure about dinner but don't expect Japanese style service during lunch time, its kind of hk style restaurant service. They are not bad but just don't expect authentic Japanese style service. Its interesting that drink is inclusive during lunch but they only serve lemon water (or ice cream), add on $15 is needed for a cup of coffee.
I like the food there, they serve in many varieties. e.g. Clam Udon, Deep fried pork cutlet with miso paste wrapped inside. Ice-cream included in the set menu.Price is reasonable.
Not good as before, don't seems to be Japanese style any more
It offers high quality and authentic Japanese cuisine, which are very reasonably priced. But after operating at the current premise for more than 4 decades, it will move to Tsimshatsui East this July.
